Palazzo Grassi – Venice – will host the exhibition of Sigmar Polke
In the fantastic Venetian palace overlooking the Grand Canal, one of the most important Venetian palaces, now you can discover the artist’s works Polke.
Originally the impressive palace with its facades one on the Grand Canal and the other on Campo San Samuele represented the status symbol of the Grassi family, then owner of the stable, powerful and wealthy Venetian family.
Over time it has been many acts of buying and selling and many owners, from industrial wealthy famous artists, from foreign businessmen to Italian companies such as Fiat.
Today the French entrepreneur Francois Pinault owns the building and inside you will find his private collection.
